Satellite Deal Of The Day

- Sky Television in New Zealand signed a deal with Telecom New Zealand to offer an online movie rental service, called “DVD Unlimited.” The deal is an indication of Sky Television’s plans to push ahead with its effort to be the top online rental provider of DVD movies. Sky Television CEO John Fellet commented, “This agreement provides a fantastic boost to our marketing strategy by dramatically increasing the visibility of ‘DVD Unlimited’ to online users throughout New Zealand.”
Sky Television acquired “DVD Unlimited” earlier this month. “DVD Unlimited” customers are independent of Sky TV subscribers and, therefore, do not need to join Sky TV to be a “DVD Unlimited” customer.
