Andrew Corp. Realignment Boosts CEO’s Focus on Satellite Opportunities

By Staff Writer | October 18, 2004

Paul Cox, president of the Andrew Corporation‘s newly formed Satellite Communications Group, said in an exclusive interview that the company’s recent realignment of its business units would allow heightened focus on satellite industry opportunities.

The satellite-related products that Andrew provides notched strong growth last year and the consolidation of all of those operations into a single business unit will let Cox report directly on those activities to Ralph Faison, president and CEO of Orland Park, Ill.-based Andrew. The changes will aid responsiveness in decision-making across each product group.

Cox, former president of the company’s Antennas Group, said that a second group would combine antennas and cable products. Those products previously were mixed together with satellite products before the company’s realignment earlier this month.
