      • Comtech Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Comtech Communications Corp. [CMTL], received a $77 million contract from an unnamed major U.S. prime contractor, with the equipment supplied from the contract going to a foreign government. Comtech Systems, as part of the contract, will design, manufacture and install a wide range of telecom equipment within the unnamed foreign country, including satellite earth station equipment with TDMA software as well as a variety of microwave terminals, and a backup communications system using VHF/UHF and HF radios.
      • Norsat International Inc. [NSATF.OB] said Dynamic Engineers Inc. placed a $940,000 order for the company’s satellite transceivers. The first half of the order will be shipped by the end of this year, and the balance will be shipped in 2005.
