RTP Taps Intelsat For Global Content Distribution

Intelsat signed a three-year deal with Radio e Televisao de Portugal (RTP), that country’s state broadcaster, to provide end-to-end international distribution of RTP content to Europe, Africa and Latin America. Content will be transmitted via the IS-706, IS-805 and IS-907 satellites. Intelsat also will be providing teleport services as part of the contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.
