AMC-15 Delivered To Launch Site

      SES Americom today said its AMC-15 satellite has been delivered to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in preparation for its scheduled Sept. 24 launch aboard a Proton launch vehicle. The satellite, a Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems A2100AX model, has 12 125-megahertz Ka-band spot beams and 24 36-megahertz Ku-band transponders. The satellite, assuming a successful launch by International Launch Services, ultimately will be located at 105 degrees West longitude, and it will support advanced video and broadband services for EchoStar Communications Corp. [DISH].
