Trafton Resigns From Boeing

Will Trafton resigned from his role as the top executive directly responsible for the launch business at The Boeing Co. [BA], saying he plans to pursue “other interests.” Trafton held the dual positions of vice president and general manager of the Expendable Launch Systems (ELS) program under Boeing’s Air Force Systems and senior site executive for the Boeing Huntington Beach location.

A successor will be named shortly, company officials said. In the interim, Dan Collins, vice president and program manager of Delta programs, will take over Trafton’s duties.
