Verizon Bundles DirecTV Into Its Telecom Offerings

      Verizon Communications [VZ] today became the latest phone company to bundle its services with DirecTV direct-to-home satellite television service offered by The DirecTV Group [DTV]. Verizon will be offering discounts to subscribers on their DirecTV bills each month if they purchase the DirecTV service through Verizon. BellSouth earlier this week announced a similar service deal with DirecTV.
