Astro COO Looks To PVR Launch

Astro All Asia Networks (Astro) is ready to bring Personal Video Recorder (PVR) services to Malaysia in the next 12 months. The DTH operator has some 1.3 million subs in that country. Astro COO David Butorac told Satellite Today, “We expect to launch PVR on our platform by the middle of next year, and we will use that to drive additional premium revenues from PPV and provide a platform that expands the capacity for the viewer to enjoy the whole multichannel experience.”
