Globalstar Targets U.S. Users With New Pricing

      Globalstar LLC officials said the company will be introducing a new satellite airtime rate plan designed specifically for its U.S. customers. The plan, Timeline 40, costs $39.95 per month and includes 40 minutes per month, with a charge of 99 cents for each additional minute.

      In other pricing news, the company is lowering the wholesale price of its simplex data airtime. Globalstar is targeting the maritime shipping and trucking industries with this new plan. A Globalstar spokesman told Satellite Today the final pricing would be determined by the value-added resellers.
