Eutelsat Partners With Europe Online

Eutelsat, one of the world’s largest satellite operators, will partner with Europe Online, a satellite broadband network services provider, to combine their satellite broadband Internet networks, operations, services and customers. The companies will create what they believe will be the world’s largest mass-consumer satellite broadband network, stretching from the United Kingdom to the Urals, and from Finland to the Middle East. The resulting merged platform also will be made available to other satellite and telecommunication operators throughout Europe and the world for content delivery to DSL and cable head-ends as well as for Video on Demand.
