Tariam Improves VPN-Over-Satellite Offering
By Staff Writer | June 17, 2004
Tariam resolved some issues it was having running VPN over its DVB-S satellite offerings. The new, as- yet-unnamed product allows companies and remote users to use Tariam’s entry-level satellite services to log on to their virtual private networks (VPNs). The resolution involves additional hardware to the standard satellite setup. Company officials said the new product solves problems related to performance degradation associated with running IPsec open standards over TCP-accelerated satellite connections.
