VOOM Eyes Five-Million Mark With Crutchfield Partnership

      VOOM, the first comprehensive high-definition (HD) satellite television service, will expand its distribution through a new partnership with Crutchfield Corporation, a large consumer-electronics retailer. Beginning this week, more than five million home-entertainment enthusiasts will have access to VOOM through the Crutchfield Corporation’s Web site and catalog. VOOM, whose satellite television service is provided by Jericho, N.Y.-based Rainbow DBS, Cablevision Systems Corporation‘s [CVC] satellite service division, also will offer Crutchfield customers free technical support for life along with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
