AeroTelesis [AOTS], a Los Angeles-based wireless company, formed a subsidiary called aeroSAT to provide satellite services. The new unit was launched as a result of positive feedback aeroTelesis received from recent demonstrations to prospective customers.
aeroSAT will have the right to “sublicense” technology from aeroTelesis into existing satellite systems. That technology could generate revenues via either royalties or a profit sharing arrangement, company officials said.
