Latin America Offers Growth Opportunity For Strong Operators

      Robust growth clearly is possible for satellite operators doing business in comparatively weak Latin America, according to a panel of speakers at Satellite 2004 this week in Washington, D.C.

      “Latin America has gone to the bottom, and it has nowhere else to go but up,” said Carmen Gonzalez-Sanfeliu, PanAmSat‘s vice president of Latin America sales. PanAmSat, with an estimated 41 percent of the Latin American market share, is projecting 20 percent to 30 percent growth in 2004, she added.
