RadioShack, EchoStar and Sirius Form Marketing Alliance

      Ft. Worth, Texas-based electronics retailer RadioShack [NYSE: RSH], Littleton. Colo.-based satellite TV service provider EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH] and New York-based satellite radio service provider Sirius Satellite Radio [Nasdaq: SIRI] have formed a satellite entertainment alliance to position EchoStar’s DISH Network and Sirius as RadioShack’s only satellite entertainment brands.

      DISH Network also agreed to offer the majority of its nine million customers Sirius music programming. The three-way alliance allows RadioShack to begin offering Sirius satellite radio service, while maintaining its existing distribution of EchoStar’s DISH Network service. Financial terms were not disclosed.
