American Wireless Expands Role With EchoStar

By Staff Writer | February 11, 2004

Campbell, Calif.-based American Wireless, a North American wireless retail distributor, has agreed to begin selling the satellite TV services of EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH] and its DISH Network nationally, rather than just on the West Coast.

American Wireless has relationships with independent wireless retailers as an intermediary between wireless retailers and the DISH Network. The move is expected to involve additional retailers, as well as to provide logistical support, tactics, tools, and training to establish new revenue streams for EchoStar.
