Joan M. Byrnes has joined Orland Park, Ill.-based Andrew Corp. [Nasdaq:ANDW] in the newly created role of vice president and general manager of satellite communications. In this position, she will be responsible for managing Andrew’s global satellite communications lines of business. Byrnes was the former COO at Loral Skynet, a division of Loral Space & Communications [OTC: LRLSQ], where she had responsibility for marketing, sales, business operations, and profitability for Loral Skynet’s product lines.
