XM Satellite Radio [Nasdaq: XMSR] has introduced the XMCommander, a XM receiver that works with any AM/FM car stereo. The Washington, D.C.-based company has selected antenna manufacturer Terk Technologies to distribute the product to retailers nationwide.

XMCommander, which is priced at $159.99, features a compact controller with display screen, an ultra-thin XM Micro Antenna, a full-function remote control and a small, hideaway tuner box. It works with all AM/FM car stereos regardless of make, brand or year. XMCommander is shipping to retail stores and will be available at the end of this month.
