EchoStar Offers Local Channels In Yakima, Washington

EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH] announced Friday that its DISH Network is now offering local TV channels via satellite to Yakima, Wash., and the Tri-Cities area. Local channels will be offered at a $1 per month discount to the regular price of $5.99 per month for DISH Network customers in Yakima until the local FOX station is added to the package.
A DISH 500 antenna is required to receive the local channels via satellite. With the addition of Yakima, DISH Network offers local channels in a total of 74 U.S. cities and their metro areas.
