Sarantel Offers Small GPS Antenna

By Staff Writer | October 3, 2003

U.K.-based Sarantel announced the availability of a small surface-mount version of its GeoHelix GPS antennas for applications requiring internal or tightly integrated surface mount antennas. The company said its GeoHelix-SMP antenna requires only 10×14 mm of board space and, because of inherent resistance to RF and other interference, can be mounted adjacent to other antennas and other signal sources. It operates on the GPS L1-band (1575.42MHz) and measures 35 mm x 14 mm x 11.2 mm. Sarantel will supply this antenna as an edge-mount device.
