The launch campaign for Arianespace Flight 162 has resumed, with a Sept. 27 liftoff date now set for the upcoming Ariane 5 mission that will carry three satellite payloads. The launch was originally scheduled for Aug. 28.
Activity resumed at the Spaceport in French Guiana on Sept. 17 following a delay that resulted from a payload customer’s request to conduct additional verifications on its satellite.
Flight 162 will carry the European Space Agency‘s SMART-1 space probe, Eutelsat‘s e-BIRD broadband services spacecraft and the Indian Space Research Organisation‘s INSAT-3E telecom/video broadcast satellite.
