French satellite imagery provider Spot Image and the Mexican government have signed an agreement for Spot to provide satellite image data through a new receiving station in Mexico. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Spot Image will provide the data to ASERCA (Apoyos y Servicios a la Comercializacion Agropecuaria), which is part of the Mexican government’s ministry of agriculture, livestock, farming, rural development, food, and fisheries. The agreement recovers data from SPOT satellites 2, 4 and 5. ASERCA will use the imagery to promote agricultural and rural development.
