Rent-Way Selects Spacenet

Spacenet, the U.S. subsidiary of Israel’s Gilat Satellite Networks [Nasdaq: GILTF], has been awarded a five-year contract by Rent-Way to provide a two-way satellite-based IP network to all of Rent-Way’s 750 rental stores. The network will be deployed by Sept. 1.
Spacenet’s Connexstar Enterprise network is designed to support a variety of services, including point-of-sale and inventory control applications, as well as Internet and intranet access. The network also is designed to support future applications such as stored value cards or customer loyalty programs.
