Eutelsat Expects Broadband Push In Next Five Years

By Staff Writer | July 18, 2003

Paris-based satellite operator Eutelsat expects revenues derived from broadband services to significantly increase over the next five years, according to CEO Giuliano Berretta. At the moment, broadband constitutes a small part of Eutelsat’s overall revenues, but this is likely to change in the next five years, Eutelsat’s CEO told SATELLITE TODAY: “In 2003, we expect [broadband services] to account for approximately 3 percent [again] and we expect this to grow to 15 percent … in five years.”

An exclusive interview with Giuliano Berretta can be found in the July 16 issue of Interspace. For more information about subscribing to PBI Media’s satellite newsletters, check out our Web site at http://www.telecomweb.com/catalog.
