Russia, China To Deploy Satellite Telemedicine Network

Russian Satellite Communications Co. and ChinaSatCom have signed a cooperation agreement to deploy a satellite telemedicine network in China, Russia and Southeast Asia.
The project will involve the deployment of telemedicine infrastructure, which includes a national telemedicine center, regional telemedicine centers, mobile telemedicine laboratories and VSAT network to provide consultations between mobile telemedicine laboratories, regional and national telemedicine centers. The network will use Chinese telecommunications equipment and Russian satellites.
