Satlynx, a European satellite broadband venture, said that its founding chief executive officer, Yves Elsen, will resign effective Aug. 31 “to pursue career opportunities in a new field.” The company’s board has set up a search committee to identify successors for the position and has asked Vice Chairman Robert A. Bednarek to serve as acting CEO during the search process.

Before founding Satlynx, Elsen was responsible for commercial and marketing activities at SES Astra. Satlynx is a venture of SES Global, Gilat Satellite Networks [Nasdaq: GILTF] and Alcatel [NYSE: ALA].
