KVH To Introduce Satellite TV in Cars

KVH Industries [KVHI] will unveil its TracVision A5 in-motion satellite TV antenna at last week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The 4-1/2 inch high TracVision in-motion satellite TV system uses phased-array antenna technology to make satellite TV available for SUVs, mini-vans and other vehicles equipped with entertainment systems.
Middletown, R.I.-based KVH is rolling out its TracVision A5 as the in-vehicle video entertainment market is exploding, company officials said. More than 1 million in-vehicle entertainment systems were sold in 2002 and that number is expected to grow this year.
