Zonevision has formed an alliance with Zee-Turner in Asia to launch its Reality TV channel in India. The channel will launch on Feb. 1, 2003. The deal was announced on Dec. 12.

Chris Wronski, president of Zonevision, commented: “The reality TV brand continues to prove a huge success throughout the world, winning ratings and popularity with every audience. It has always been our dream to bring the channel to the second biggest cable market in the world.”

Subhash Chandra, chairman of Zee Telefilms said he “was delighted” to add Reality TV to its existing bouquet of channels and that it offers “a completely new genre of programming” to Zee-Turner.

The new deal increases the channel’s reach by 10 million subscribers by the end of the first quarter, making a current total of 27 million subscribers across five continents. Zonevision hopes the deal in Asia will pave the way for similar deals in Asia.
