IRAN TO BROADCAST TO EUROPE AND MID EAST

The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Broadcasting (IRIB), Ali Larijani, has said that Iran has plans to transmit IRIB programmes to people across Europe and Middle East.

Speaking in the third meeting of the cultural representations abroad, Larijani noted that some of the financing required to implement this plan have already been provided, while negotiations are currently under way with the Arabsat network. He underlined IRIB’s readiness to co-operate with the cultural councillors, adding that IRIB produces 2,300 hours of movies and serial films annually, of which 700 could be broadcast in other countries.

Larijani concluded by telling Iranian news agency IRNA that the cultural representations could co-operate with the IRIB to introduce the organisation’s products to other nations.
