SES announced that its board of directors approved a restructuring of SES’ go-to-market organization model with the creation of two new business units, SES Video and SES Networks, focusing on the video- and data-centric segments in which SES operates. The new organization, which the company will implement this year, will gather all go-to-market capabilities in the two segments.

SES appointed Ferdinand Kayser, currently Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of SES, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SES Video. Steve Collar, currently CEO of O3b Networks, will become CEO of SES Networks, which comprises the enterprise, mobility, and government segments and integrates O3b Networks. Both will report to SES President and CEO Karim Michel Sabbagh.

“The new operating model will allow SES to fully leverage the capabilities of its affiliates, MX1 and O3b, in which we have recently made significant investments, and make them a key enabler of our video and data-centric businesses, respectively,” said Romain Bausch, chairman of the SES board of directors.
