Michel de Rosen Selected as Satellite Executive of the Year

Michel de Rosen, CEO of Eutelsat, has been selected as the Satellite Executive of the Year for 2015.

In 2009, when Eutelsat was a regional operator looking for its place in the satellite world, Michel de Rosen became the company’s CEO. Since then, de Rosen has built Eutelsat to be a truly global powerhouse with a strong presence in Latin America and Asia, and has been at the forefront of technology changes, constantly pushing the envelope in areas such as electric propulsion and small satellites, to name but two.

”In his six years at the helm of Eutelsat, Michel de Rosen has transformed Eutelsat from a semi-regional operator to a more global operator than ever before. He has had a huge impact, not just on Eutelsat, but the industry as a whole. But, his influence goes beyond the numbers, and the global expansion. De Rosen has been one of the driving forces behind the satellite industry mobilizing itself ahead of WRC-2015. He has left an indelible mark on the industry, and thanks to a number of factors, he was chosen for our Satellite Executive of the Year for 2015.”

For almost 30 years, Via Satellite magazine has been honoring the satellite executives who have made a lasting business impact on the global satellite market during the previous calendar year.

Via Satellite magazine will showcase de Rosen in its “Satellite Executive of the Year” cover feature in the March 2016 issue. Michel de Rosen will be presented with his award at the Satellite Executive of the Year award luncheon on Wednesday, March 9, and a reception that will be held that evening. Both events take place during the SATELLITE 2016 Conference and Exhibition, which runs March 7 through 10 at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.
