[Via Satellite 10-22-2015] EMC has increased its leadership team, adding Tom Severson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Bill Madden as Senior Vice President (SVP) of product development, and John Finney, founding employee and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of O3b Networks, as its CCO. The new executives bolster the company’s capabilities in providing remote connectivity around the world.

Before joining EMC, Severson served as CFO for Paxson Communications; American Media; The Nicklaus Companies and Myxer. In addition, he was chief accounting officer of Sinclair Broadcast Group, and started his career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the audit department of KPMG.

Finney, in addition to serving at O3b, also served as regional managing director of Ciena, running the company’s Northern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) operations. Before Ciena, he was a global business unit leader at Alcatel-Lucent. He also worked at Huawei, where he was the first European employee responsible for the company’s entry and growth strategies.

Madden previously served as executive vice president of engineering for Myxer, where his team created and supported a leading destination for mobile content and entertainment. He also was an early employee of Citrix Systems, and held positions at IBM and Vericept Corporation.
