O3b, MEOSAT to Provide High Speed Connectivity to Oilfields in Southern Iraq

[Via Satellite 04-14-2015] O3b Networks announced a multi-year agreement to provide trunking services to Dubai-based MEOSAT, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) servicing the oil and gas industry. MEOSAT will use the significant O3b capacity provided to serve oil industry clients in Southern Iraq.
“Oil rich Southern Iraq’s high demand for reliable, low latency service was the deciding factor when it came to selecting the O3b network. Fiber-like connectivity with a consistently high level of reliability is exactly what our customers need,” said Michael Iwanow, CEO of MEOSAT.
