Asian Defense Customer Awards Airborne Satcom Contract to Orbit Communications

[Via Satellite 01-26-2015] Orbit Communications Systems announced it has received a substantial contract from a large defense organization in eastern Asia for a satellite communications solution designed for airborne platforms. According to the company, the unnamed buyer has been a longstanding customer, and has used its tracking and telemetry solution for several years.
Due to the long-term nature of the project, Orbit believes the contract has significant potential for follow-on orders. The same customer has also selected Orbit’s maritime Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) command and control antennas for installation on an operational ship.
