[Via Satellite 09-12-2014] EuroSkyPark (ESP), a satellite connectivity provider for energy and security, has entered a comprehensive partnership agreement with SES TechCom for Ku-band capacity on Astra 3B. The company, which has grown by restructuring energy generation and supply networks in Western Europe, intends to use the new capacity for its top energy sector customers. As part of the agreement, SES will receive access to the secure satellite communications, security and surveillance in the industrial sector.

According to EST, the company added 4,500 wind parks to its network, requiring five to six GW of energy for satellite connections. SES TechCom is also providing ground infrastructure for ESP, and will assist with system design and testing.
