[Via Satellite 08-29-2014] C-Com Satellite Systems reports its customer Japan Satellite Communications (JSC) has deployed iNetVu mobile antennas in response to landslides in Hiroshima, Japan. Heavy rain triggered the landslides, which have displaced more than 1,500 people and killed more than 70.

“JSC has deployed over 350 iNetVu(R) mobile antennas across Japan,” said Yoshiya Kato, CTO and board member of JSC. “Most of these antennas are used for cellular backhaul and emergency services.”

C-Com antennas are being used in the affected regions to re-establish cellular communications where cellular towers have been downed. JSC, in addition to being a customer, is also C-Com’s largest reseller partner in Japan. The company has deployed iNetVu mobile antennas for more than three years.
