[Via Satellite 08-08-2014] Intelsat has signed an agreement with Sonangol E.P. subsidiary MSTelcom for broadband services into and out of Angola. The oil and gas company’s multiyear contract will start with the provision of point-to-point broadband, followed by a transition to point-to-multipoint.

Satellites Intelsat 22 at 72 degrees east and Intelsat 14 at 315 degrees east will provide MSTelcom with C-band capacity. The company will also make use of the IntelsatOneSM terrestrial network. As part of the agreement, Intelsat will handle network services between MSTelcom headquarters and its remote sites.
