Iridium Extends Connectivity Offering to SkyBitz

[Via Satellite 05-29-2014] Iridium Communications extended its agreement with SkyBitz to provide satellite connectivity for the company’s new SkyBitz as a Service (SBS). Solutions offered in this SBS service include comprehensive trailer and asset information management and historical trend analysis.
SBS provides information in fleet asset management without requiring an initial capital investment. It also looks to save companies the exposure that is associated with owning and maintaining the hardware for fleet asset management. Iridium’s M2M subscribers make up 45 percent of its customer base.
