Intelsat Appoints New Member to Board of Directors

[Via Satellite 04-03-2014] Intelsat has appointed Robert Callahan, chairman of media, Internet and technology advisory firm Longueview to its board of directors. Callahan joins as an independent member of the board and will serve on the company’s audit committee.

Callahan holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas, and has served as a special advisor for global growth equity firm General Atlantic, and as chairman and CEO of Ziff Davis Media. He has experience in building value for high growth companies such as Alibaba Group, Zagat and Network Solutions. He also held several positions at the Walt Disney Company/ABC/Capital Cities, including president of ABC, Inc., the company’s $6 billion TV and radio division where he was in charge of driving the programming and growth for the business.
