[Via Satellite 03-13-2014] Boeing and TrustComm are partnering to sell capacity from Inmarsat‘s Global Xpress high-speed mobile broadband service to commercial and government customers. Trustcomm will leverage existing infrastructure to assist Boeing, an authorized reseller of Inmarsat capacity, as they help sell bandwidth.

“TrustComm becomes the first service provider for Boeing Commercial Satellite Services (BCSS), and TrustComm’s access to certain government markets will augment our sales efforts,” said Jim Mitchell, vice president of BCSS. “We believe this partnership will allow us to penetrate more deeply into additional markets.”

Through BCSS, Boeing works with owners of active satellite systems to market available bandwidth and to include hosted payloads on future spacecraft. Global Secure Networks, a U.S. investment group, acquired TrustComm in 2013.
