[Via Satellite 02-26-2014] Inmarsat is expanding its machine-to-machine (M2M) distribution channel with the appointment of RacoWireless as a global distribution partner for its IsatData Pro service.

RacoWireless has a growing presence in Latin America, and will incorporate IsatData Pro into its portfolio of M2M-focused solutions and services. The IsatData Pro service is expected to become one of the company’s primary network solutions for Latin America’s growing fleet management market.

RacoWireless will integrate Inmarsat’s M2M service into its Omega Management Suite (OMS), which serves as a cloud-based dashboard featuring tools for global device management that enable solution providers to control and leverage intelligence from remotely connected devices.

“The relationship with Inmarsat enables our partners to extend the reach of their network to sites outside the scope of their existing terrestrial network partners, without the need to invest in additional infrastructure. It also allows for the deployment of a truly global M2M solution through a single platform,” said John Horn, president of RacoWireless.
