PPC Selects Eutelsat to Boost C-band Resources in Africa

[Via Satellite 12-2-13] PPC (formerly Philips Projects Centre), an integrated IT services provider in Nigeria, has selected Eutelsat to boost C-band resources to meet demand from the oil and gas industry in the country. The companies signed a contract for 20 MHz of capacity on the Eutelsat 10A satellite. This additional capacity will enable PPC to expand its business in the energy sector.

“Our strategy is to leverage the strength of Eutelsat 10A to meet unique customer requirements, especially in the oil and gas industry and other sectors of the economy,” said Patrick Ede, general manager of operations, PPC. “With Eutelsat 10A added to our portfolio of satellite resources, we are strengthening our Pan-African coverage and service provision.”
