TSF Renews Satellite Communications Contract with Vizada

[Satellite TODAY 04-12-12] Astrium subsidiary Vizada has renewed its partnership contract with Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) to continue satellite communications support TSF’s international missions, Vizada announced April 11.

   TSF in an international non-governmental organization specialized in emergency telecommunications and managing disaster and emergency relief operations by providing people in distress with a means of communication. The company launched a medical relief operation in Syria in March 2012, for which Vizada provided the airtime for voice communications and Inmarsat IsatPhone Pro satellite phones.
   “It has always been crucial for TSF to use the most up-to-date and appropriate on-site solutions and to employ the latest technologies and devices. That is why TSF has relied on Vizada’s services for the past 14 years and will continue to use them systematically for all our operations,” TSF President Jean-François Cazenave said in a statement.
Financial details of the contract extension were not disclosed.
