Hughes Unveils Enhancements to HX Product Family

Hughes Network Systems has announced details of HX System 4.0, which aims to bring a number of technology enhancements to its HX product family.

The enhancements aim to strengthen the HX System’s position in specialty markets such as IP trunking, 3G/4G cellular backhaul, Virtual Network Operator (VNO) hosting and ‘Comms On-The-Move’ (COTM) for airborne/maritime/land, including defence and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions.

Telit Introduces Dual GPS/Glonass Navigation System Module

Machine-to-machine (M2M) technology developer Telit Wireless Solutions has unveiled a dual GPS/Glonass module that provides access to both the Russian and U.S. global navigation satellite systems. Telit said its Jupiter SL869 provides three times the usual satellite visibility by accessing to up to 22 satellites instead of the six or eight satellites normally available through standard GPS platforms.
