SES Signs Capacity Deals with GlobeCast, ICCES

GlobeCast has signed a long-term capacity deal with SES to boost its presence in the U.K. TV market. The capacity on Astra’s future replacement fleet at the 28.2 degrees East neighborhood will be used by GlobeCast to serve its wide range of television and radio clients seeking to address the United Kingdom and Ireland.

ICCES, a Saudi-based communications services provider and systems integrator, also signed a capacity deal with SES to serve new markets across the Middle East and North Africa. As part of the agreement, ICCES will use 116 MHz of Ku-band capacity on the SES-4 satellite to help its customers extend their VSAT-delivered connectivity services across Saudi Arabia, North Africa, Libya, Tunisia and other key countries.

Intelsat Secures Etisalat Transponder Lease

Intelsat has inked a multi-year deal with Etisalat for capacity on Intelsat 22. As part of the multi-transponder agreement, Etisalat will utilize the satellite’s capacity to expand the reach of its broadband and GSM backhaul services to its customers in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Central Asia.
