Kratos Releases Cyber Security Situational Awareness Solution for Satellite

By Jeffrey Hill | March 15, 2012

[Satellite TODAY 03-15-12] Kratos Defense and Security Solutions subsidiary RT Logic has released CyberC4:Alert, a security information event manager (SIEM) unit designed specifically for satellite networks and operations, Kratos announced March 12.

CyberC4:Alert is U.S. Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) compliant. The solution aims to provide satellite network administrators and information security officers with real-time situational awareness and incident response for cyber security situational awareness and mission assurance. CyberC4:Alert also features a correlation engine with user-defined rules and policies that prioritizes events by severity.

“The continued integration of IP-enabled equipment throughout satellite and ground control environments is introducing more attack points and vulnerabilities to mission operations and sensitive information,” Kratos said in a company statement. “Currently, more than 80 percent of military satellite communications engage commercial satellite infrastructure, making DIACAP compliance a critical necessity.”
