Calian SED Inks $7.6 Million in Satellite Ground System Deals

[Satellite TODAY 01-25-12] Calian Technologies’ Systems Engineering Division (SED) has signed two new satellite ground systems contracts worth a combined value of $7.6 million, Calian SED announced Jan. 24.

  Danish company Thrane & Thrane contracted Calien SED to deliver and install an Inmarsat BGAN RF ground system for its CTTIC partner in China. Calian SED also was selected by the Canada Center for Remote Sensing (CCRS) to provide and install a remote-sensing antenna system in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
  In a statement, Calian SED President Patrick Thera said both contract agreements were secured in the later half of its 2012 first quarter. “These contract awards were excellent wins for us. They further demonstrate our capabilities as a leading supplier of high quality satellite ground systems, both domestically and around the world.”
