Orbit Introduces Expanded Tracking, Telemetry Aeronautical Antenna Line

[Satellite TODAY 10-25-11] Connectivity solutions provider Orbit Communication Systems is set to unveil its expanded tracking and telemetry portfolio of aeronautical antennas, the company announced Oct. 24.           
   The new product line includes Orbit’s advanced indoor AL-4000 Antenna Control Unit (ACU), which aims to control overall tracking antenna motion and display position and tracking of data. The company also will demonstrate its new L-, S- and C-band feed upgrade and refurbishment program for legacy telemetry systems, designed to provide simultaneous operation in multiple telemetry and satellite communication frequency bands
   “Our tracking and telemetry solutions address the communications needs of aircraft and missile flight test, space launchers and unmanned air vehicles (UAVs). The solutions are designed for the most severe environmental conditions and support the high dynamics required for close range telemetry, including ground and maritime platforms,” Orbit said in a company statement.
