Vizada to Launch Expanded Maritime VSAT Service

[Satellite TODAY 10-27-10] Satellite communications provider Vizada is set to launch a maritime VSAT fixed-satellite broadband service, the company announced Oct. 26.
    The service will fall under the Vizada Solutions platform, which offers both Iridium and Inmarsat connectivity services, and will be provided exclusively with Vizada’s base connectivity services for communications and administrative needs. Vizada’s full range of SkyFile solutions also will be available on the VSAT service from launch, including SkyFile Weather and SkyFile Mail.
    “Customers will also benefit from universal card prepaid services as well as Terralink data manager, including firewalling, Web filtering and compression features,” the company said in a statement.
