[Satellite TODAY 09-23-10] Cobham Satcom has launched a beta program for its ST24 marine-stabilized TV receive-only antenna, which is designed for yachts, the company announced Sept. 22.
Designed with a greater elevation range than standard two-axis marine stabilized antennas, the Ku-band ST24 aims to enable end-users to watch TV at higher latitudes through a one-touch screen graphical antenna control panel.
“The simplicity of the ST24 design and ease of use were the key guiding principles we followed to truly revolutionize the yacht owner’s experience. Simple, icon-driven, single-touch settings with the antenna that can work at higher latitudes is what our dealers asked us for,” Cobham Satcom Vice President John DeSana said in a statement.
